Inflammation in the cancer microenvironment

This lecture will take a deep dive into the double-edged role of inflammation in cancer: how it can both protect the body and fuel tumor growth. Participants will explore how inflammatory signals and immune cells shape the tumor microenvironment, influencing everything from immune evasion to blood vessel formation. The session will also feature recent research on the alarmin/cytokine IL-33 and its role in colorectal cancer.
